Faster results and treatment through a secure online portal
Homerton needed a reliable way to deliver STI test results to patients, one that protected privacy, encouraged follow-up, and reduced time to treatment. Letters were too slow. Phone calls took up valuable clinic time. Existing patient messaging systems lacked integration.
MIKKOM developed a standalone Results Portal that now forms part of the Patient Portal. It allows patients to securely log in, view results and, where necessary, book follow-up care immediately. The service handles tens of thousands of results annually.
If results are negative, patients are informed clearly and simply. If treatment is needed, they are guided through their next steps without needing to wait for a call or paper letter.
